All Pets Hospital is a full-service hospital serving the veterinary needs of Lockport and the greater Chicagoland area. Our professional staff and new facility allow us to provide a distinctly higher level of pet health services. We pride ourselves on providing friendly and professional service to our clients and compassionate care for our patients.

Paul Navin, DVM, founded All Pets Hospital in 1993 and has over 30 years of clinical veterinary experience. Dr. Navin in addition to general veterinary practice and surgery is also a distinguished English Bulldog specialist. Working with Dr. Navin are Dr. Matthew Harres and Dr. Stephen Little who are staff veterinarians of All Pets Hospital.

    Hello, My name is Paul A. Navin, D.V.M.. Thank you for your interest in All Pets Hospital!

    Let me tell you a little about myself. I graduated from Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978.  Shortly after graduation I moved to Lockport, IL and have practiced in this area ever since.

    I opened All Pets Hospital at the Regency Point Shopping Center in Lockport in 1993. The practice is a full service veterinary hospital providing medical, surgical, grooming and limited boarding services.

    The hospital has grown from 2 employees with 600 clients to 18 employees with 5000 clients. I am a well-known specialist in the Chicago area for the English Bulldog breed. I am also a member of the American, Illinois, and Chicago Veterinary Medical Associations.

    I lived in Lockport for 28 years and have 2 grown daughters, Katie and Kelly. My wife Vicky is a psychologist and we live in Naperville. I am a tennis enthusiast, enjoy gardening, movies, and playing with the family pets. 

    My History:
    • 1978 graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University
    • 1978 moved to Lockport
    • 1978 started at Colonial Manor Animal Hospital with Dr. George Ihrke
    • 1987 took position in Joliet at Atrill Veterinary Clinic
    • Developed an interest in the English Bulldog Breed
    • 1993 started a house call practice called House call for All Pets
    • 1993 planned to open a small animal practice in Lockport called All Pets Hospital
    • 1994 All Pets Hospital opened for business on January 17.
    • 2009 moved into new office on Read St. on April 27, 2009.

  • Dr. Matthew Harres, DVM

    I have been working at All Pets Hospital since the spring of 2008. I graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. I enjoy the lasting relationships that we form with the clients and their pets in a general practice. I feel lucky to work with such a fun, dedicated, and professional staff. Out of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids (we have one daughter and two sons). I also enjoy watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Fighting Illini, exercising, reading, watching movies, cooking, gardening, and traveling. Our pets include a crazy Gordon Setter named Fionualla, two cats, Gatsby & Salty, and one Leopard Gecko, Cosmo.

  • Dr. Stephen Little, DVM

    I graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2014 and am so excited to begin my career here at All Pets. I've wanted to be a veterinarian since second grade and look forward to being able to fulfill my childhood dream. I appreciate the important place that our pets hold in our lives and will assist you in keeping your animals healthy. I did my undergraduate studies at Illinois Wesleyan University and have special veterinary interests in surgery, behavior, and exotics. I have also been fortunate to study abroad twice in Costa Rica to learn about tropical ecology and surgical techniques.

     In my free time I enjoy sailing, camping, running, playing trumpet, and simply spending time with friends & family. At home I have a young & energetic dog named Brody and a New Holland Lop rabbit. I look forward to getting to know you and your pets better!

    I started working at All Pets Hospital in 2002, and graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Joliet Junior College in 2007. I was promoted to practice manager in February of 2010. I am a single mother with a teenage daughter and an adult son and I have a full house of dogs, cats, fish, rabbits and reptiles.

    I have worked at All Pets Hospital since 1995.  I started doing kennels when I was 17 years old.  After I graduated from high school, I attended Joliet Junior College and graduated from their Veterinary Technician program.  I was in their first graduating class.  I am now married with two children, a son Jacob and a daughter Emily.  My pets are a yellow Lab named Chase, a chocolate Lab named Shooter, and an American Shorthair cat named Ruby.

    I graduated in 2008 from the Vet Tech Institute of Fox College, where I acquired my A.A.S. Degree, and became a Certified Veterinary Technician.  I have two cats named Buster and Colby Jack, as well as a Terrier Mix named Barney.  Animals have always been a large part of my life, and I love caring for them.  They require so little, but give so much love in return.  I am glad that I have been given the opportunity to provide quality medical care to all of our furry friends.

    I have been working at All Pets Hospital since 2009 and in the animal field since 2006. In 2008, I graduated from the Veterinary Technician Institute at Fox College with my associate degree and certification. I was recently promoted to Kennel Manager in 2016. I enjoy playing sports and love to spend time with my animals. I have three cats named Joey, Chloe, and Hoodie, and a black lab named Sammy. My special interests are dentals, patient care, and being able to see the miracles that we create in veterinary medicine.

    I began working at All Pets in April of 2014 as a kennel attendant and am now working as a certified veterinary technician. I currently have a Blue Heeler mix, Diesel, a Weimaraner Lab mix, Nova, and a Pit Bull Lab mix, Camber.

    I have worked at All Pets Hospital since August of 2008. I started working kennels and I have moved my way up to helping out anywhere I can. You will see me taking care of pharmacy requests, and prescription food; ordering and inventory stock. I really enjoy educating our clients on their pet's health. I have three Australian Kelpie dogs, two mischievous cat, and schools of fish.

    I grew up in Chicago, lived in Oak Park and then settled in Lockport. I have a daughter, son-in-law and two beautiful granddaughters. I began working at All Pets Hospital in 2008 after a long career as the Accounting Manager for an insurance agency in Joliet. All Pets Hospital and I were featured in an article in the New York Times More Second Acts in American Lives after my career change. My profile was submitted by a mentor at Joliet Junior College - I am grateful to Dr. Navin for giving me the opportunity to do what I love, caring for animals and time to garden when I am home with my pets. I enjoy greeting each client, meeting their owners and trying to make their visit as comfortable as possible.  I am currently owned by my Miniature Schnauzer, Nigel. My previous owners were my first Schnauzer, Winston, who passed recently and my dynamic duo, Doberman Pincher Simon, and his little boss, Rufus, a spaniel mix. They have all left their paw prints in my heart.

    I began seeing Dr. Navin at All Pets Hospital in 2000 as a client with my Bulldog, Harley. This is where my love for the Bulldog breed started. Everyone at All Pets was wonderful and always so helpful. In 2009 I was offered a position as a front desk receptionist. I was previously employed as a veterinary assistant at another clinic. The doctor I worked for retired. It was then I decided it was time to get back to doing what I loved. I absolutely love working with all the patients and their families that come into see us. I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 children: Noah, Audrey, and Mason, who keep me very busy. My fur babies include Lilo and Gable (English Bulldogs), Stitch (French Bulldog), Cheech (cat), and Calvin and Chaos (Iguanas).

    I graduated in 1990 from LTHS. I have a son (Chris) and a daughter (Stephanie). We moved to Clinton, Illinois in 1993. In 2003 I began volunteering with the rescue Second Chance For Pets and a local animal shelter. I was a foster home to many dogs, but became known as "Cat Momma" because of all of the bottle babies I took care of over the years. I was very active with our rescue and animal shelter; posting pictures and bios to Petfinder, transporting pets, doing adoption events and being a part of rescuing pets from animal cruelty situations. I left Second Chance in November of 2015. I worked six years in the vet field as a receptionist and assistant from 2006-2012. I moved back to Crest Hill in November of 2015 and started back in the vet field at All Pets Hospital in December of 2015.

    I have been grooming pets since 2000 at All Pets. My husband, Eric, and I have six children. Four of our children are girls, and the other two are a Pomeranian named Lucy and an English Bulldog named Punky. My coworkers at All Pets are like a second family to me; we care about one another so much. I really love my job and feel I am truly blessed.
